Pittsburgh’s 13th annual Can’t Stop the Serenity charity screening of Serenity was held on Sunday, August 5, 2018 and raised $1,095 for Equality Now.
With your help, they can add still more to that total at their affiliate event this Saturday, October 6 at The Flying Squirrel in Carnegie, PA.
Organiser Christopher says “My brothers and I are huge fans of Joss Whedon and his work, so it’s an honor being able to celebrate his work while at the same time “doin’ good works” for an organization like Equality Now that helps women who otherwise wouldn’t have anyone championing their cause.”
“Doors will open at 5:30pm so you can stock up on ice cream or popcorn and take part in the raffles before our screenings of both Dr. Horrible’s Sing-Along Blog (6:15pm) and season one of Alan Tudyk’s series Con Man (7:30pm).”
Admission requires a $10 donation and proceeds will benefit Equality Now and Jump Cut Theater.
The Rivers and Bridges Brigade of the PA Browncoats are being supported by Geek Pittsburgh and the Jump Cut Theatre and more information can be found on their website
