It’s the biggest weekend of the season coming up with 10 Can’t Stop the Serenity shindigs celebrating the official release date of Serenity. There’s cities celebrating their 10th CSTS, cities holding their 2nd or more event of the year and lots of horrible sing alongs.

The Alamo City Browncoats didn’t want to miss Can’t Stop the Serenity’s 10th year so will be having a table to raise money for Equality Now at Monster-Con in San Antonio this Saturday only. The Utah Browncoats are also holding an affiliate event at a convention when Dr Horrible’s Sing-Along Blog* closes out Salt Lake Comic Con at 8pm on Saturday. Tickets are only $2 and available at the Utah Browncoats booth (#3473) and each ticket purchased gets you a raffle ticket. They are also encouraging everyone in attendance to bring a cowboy or bowler hat, neckerchief and fake mustache for the Minions of Bad Horse big group picture! Toronto returns for its second event this season with something horrible. Warm up your voices and get ready to sing as they show Dr Horrible’s Sing-Along Blog* in all its musical glory from 5pm on Saturday Firkin on King. Eat, drink and be merry while raising money for Equality Now. Tickets are a mere $5 online here or at the door. For more info visit the Toronto Browncoats website.

Pittsburgh also return for a second 10th anniversary charity screening on Saturday at the ToonSeum in downtown Pittsburgh from 7-10pm. The event will feature a mixer, interactive games, merchandise for sale, raffles and a screening of Dr. Horrible’s Sing-Along Blog*. Costumes and evil inventions are encouraged. A minimum donation of $10.00 to Equality Now will be required for admission. Check out the website for event updates.

It’s Boston’s tenth year holding Can’t Stop the Serenity events and they’re celebrating theirs and Serenity’s 10th anniversary with a midnight screening this Saturday. Join them to watch Serenity rise again on the big screen at the Coolidge Corner Theatre and be sure to bring some non-perishable food items to donate for your chance to win some great prizes.

Special guest Adam “Mojo” Lebowitz, an Emmy award winning FX artist who worked on both Firefly and Serenity as well as Battlestar Galactica, Star Trek: Voyager and Babylon 5, will be answering questions and possibly photobombing your selfies. North Texas are celebrating 10 years of being a Can’t Stop the Serenity city by holding the first of two events in a week on Sunday at the Alamo Drafthouse. It’s a big screening event featuring Serenity and Dr Horrible’s Sing-Along Blog*, costume contests and Evil Laugh competitions for both kids and adults, games and Matthew Broyles performing live during the break between movies, in acoustic duo form with the stunningly talented Beth Brown.

Make sure you bring plenty of cashy money for the live auction. They’re also putting one special item up on ebay, a Son of Asgard replica helmet signed by Chris Hemsworth and Stan Lee! You can see and bid on this amazing collectible here. Tickets and merchandise will remain on sale on the website until Friday, September 25th, and at the door unless sold out. Platteville are back for their second year with a screening event on Sunday at the Avalon Cinema. Doors open at 1.30 for a 2pm start, in addition to showing Serenity and Dr. Horrible’s Sing-Along Blog* there’ll be an auction of Whedonverse shinies including Serenity Leaves on the Wind autographed by Nathan, Adam and Summer, Funko Legacy Firefly Figure Collection, Firefly USB Flash Drive, Firefly Yahtzee Game, photos signed by Summer Glau, Stephanie Romanov aka Lilah Morgan from Angel.

Tickets are $12 at the door or $10 online where you can also pre-order a tshirt. Merchandise will be available on the day. The Arizona Browncoats continue celebrating their 10th year of CSTS involvement this Sunday with their Phoenix screening event at the Studio Movie Grill in Scottsdale. There’s a whole afternoon of fun with With Serenity and Dr Horrible’s Sing-Along Blog*, merchandise for sale, a raffle, a costume contest, photo booth and a short retrospective about the past 10 years of the Arizona Browncoats.

Doors open at 2.30pm with Dr Horrible starting at 3pm. Tickets are just $10 and available online here. They have sold out in advance the past several years so it’s recommended you purchase your tickets as soon as possible. For more information visit the website. Perth return for their fourth shindig this year when they screen Dr Horrible’s Sing-Along Blog* at Game City from 3pm. Dress up for the costume contest, win shiny prizes in the raffle and get your game on. Every attendee will receive a goody bag, and go in the draw to win a collection of door prizes.

And last but not least, Atlanta celebrates its 10th year of holding Can’t Stop the Serenity events at Atlanta Plaza Theatre from 6pm on Sunday. Join them for a fun evening that will feature a prize drawing, auction, costume contest, entertainment and mingling, with Serenity starting promptly at 7! Merchandise will also be available to purchase.

They’re asking everyone to bring canned food items to donate, for every canned good you bring you will receive an extra prize drawing ticket, and thanks to the generosity of the Plaza Theatre, a movie ticket for every attendee donating a can! Tickets are just $15 and available along with all the event info on their website. All proceeds go to Equality Now and the Atlanta Community Food Bank.
