THIS WEEK’S EVENTS…
Warwick, UK – 4 July (Serenity & Dr Horrible)
It’s all happening in Warwick this weekend! Head on down to the Guy Nelson Hall at the Warwick School for a fantastic afternoon! The fun starts at 3pm, with Dr Horrible’s Sing-Along Blog followed by Serenity. Then it’s time for prizes! There are some amazing raffles and competitions! Prizes include items autographed by Joss Whedon, Nathan Fillion and more! And if that’s not enough, we’ll be continuing the fundraising at the Kozy Bar in Warwick’s town centre from 7pm for drinks and a Firefly/Serenity quiz. Tickets are just £5 and are available at the door or online. All proceeds to Equality Now.
Launceston, TAS Australia – 5 July (Serenity & Dr. Horrible)
Australia’s first CSTS event for the year will be in Launceston, at the Village Cinemas on Brisbane Street! The event begins at 5pm and will feature Dr Horrible’s Sing-Along Blog followed by Serenity. In between, there will be auctions and prizes, so Tickets are just $10 and you can purchase them online in advance or at the door. This is going to be a great evening, so come along and join us for a fantastic night!
Dallas, TX US – 11 July (Serenity & Dr. Horrible)
The North Texas Browncoats invite you to spend a day in Serenity, with a little bit of Horribleness as well! The place to be is the Studio Movie Grill in Addison. Starting at 10:30am, the excitement will extend to 3pm, so be sure to stay for all of it! Special guest, Anne Barringer (2009 CSTS Global Organizer), will be coming to kick off the fun! Tickets are on sale now and cost just $15. And if watching Serenity and Dr Horrible on the big screen weren’t enough, there’s also heaps of amazing prizes to be won! See you there!
Madison, WI US – 11 July (Serenity & Dr Horrible)
Everything is shaping up to make this year the best yet! Get ready for an exciting night of Dr. Horrible, Serenity, and Browncoats! It’s all taking place at the Market Square Theatre from 8pm to midnight. Tickets are $10 Adult / $5 Student in advance online until 10 July, and $12 Adult / $7 Student at the door. So come along, watch some great Joss Whedon creations, win fantastic prizes and support Equality Now!
Dallas, TX US – 12 July (Music Showcase)
Once you’ve recovered from seeing Serenity with the North Texas Browncoats, get your dancing shoes on for a night of music! Get yourself to Poor David’s Pub and join Patrice Pike and the Patrice Pike Band, Inner Frequency, Blue Petal, Iris Leu and Kristina Morland. The show begins at 4pm and finishes at 10pm. Tickets are $15 and are available online now. This is an all ages show. 17 & unders are welcome. Proceeds raised will be donated to Equality Now.
San Antonio, TX US – 12 July (Serenity & Dr. Horrible)
It’s that time again! Time for CSTS San Antonio! There are two shows at the Alamo Drafthouse Westlakes at 4pm and 9pm. Doors open 1 hour before showtimes to give you time to get some snazzy merchandise and get good seats. Then the excitement kicks off with a costume competition (with fantastic prizes!), Dr Horrible’s Sing-Along Blog, Raffles, Serenity and then some amazing items go under the hammer in our charity auctions! Tickets are $15 if you purchase online in advance, and $18 at the door on the day of the event. Proceeds from this year’s CSTS San Antonio are going to Equality Now and The Kids Need to Read Foundation.
